Stiftung Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen, Düsseldorf

50 years ago a museum was founded in Düsseldorf that now boasts a unique selection of works from the 20^th and 21^st centuries that are exhibited in two locations (K20 und K21). Works by German Expressionists such as Wassily Kandinsky and paintings by Pablo Picasso and Jackson Pollock are among the absolute highlights, as are installations by Joseph Beuys and Nam June Paik. In addition to these works that have long since become icons of modern art are many other exceptional examples of classical Modernist art, American art since 1945 and major spatial installations, photographs and film and video works by contemporary artists.
